When I attempt to call compress directory I am getting the following exception -

My archive is the Handle.zip archive downloaded from "http://download.sysinternals.com/files/Handle.zip"

If I use a FileStream instead of a MemoryStream It passes the extraction but I get a Win32Exception later when I try to use the extracted file:

I'm using NMM v.0.34.0 and whenever i'm trying to install a mod an error pops up and says the execution has failed due to the bug in sevenzipsharp

I noticed that when trying to compress a folder with a lot of files i get this error using LZMA2 compression, but it only happens on my 8-core box. On my 2-core box it finishes compression just fine.

So based on this I think SevenZipSharp has some kind of a threading bug!
Please look into this

If I define VolumeSize, then invoke CompressFiles method to archived one or more files, there isn't any archived files created and without any exception.
My code is like:
Dim z7 As New SevenZip.SevenZipCompressor
z7.VolumeSize = 1000000
z7.CompressFiles(zipFile, fi.FullName)

I checked the source code(Aug 26 version), in SevenZipCompressor.cs, line 1097, I think it should be added "_volumeSize == 0" to this if statement.

I got an error that went as follows:
"Installation Failed.
An error occurred during installation. The execution has failed due to the bug in the SevenZipSharp.

I assume the release number is "beta1545r0". As for the archive, could someone please point me in the direction to go to find it.

Uhm.... I was trying to install my FireFall Beta and near the end of the installation process, though, I received an error, it told me "Installation failed. An Error occurred during installation: The execution has failed due to due the bug in the SevenZipSharp." It then told me to report it here with the release number and to attach the archive. I know what neither of these are, but I can only assume that the release number is the beta-key but I have no clue what archive it is talking about. Please help, I'm not the most technical savvy. If I can get help I can post the required information.

Actually caused by the Framework 3.5 SP. Uninstalled it and it is working fine now. This fault was just related this laptop and not Windows Vista

I have C# 2005 program which self extracts a 7zip archive file. This works successfully Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows 7.
However it does not work in Windows Vista. It appears to be failing on SevenZipCompressor.SetLibraryPath(), it returns these exceptions:

Hi, I think this wrapper is pretty awesome and it definitely makes it much easier to use the LZMA SDK. However, there are still a lot of instability issues such as System.IndexOutOfRange. I've seen this occur for other people but never found the cause.

To reproduce this issue:
1. Use CompressFileDictionary to append to an existing archive.
2. Use it again under the same instance to create a new (and different) archive.
3. Notice the IndexOutOfRange exception that should occur.

The code that I am working with look similar to this. Basically I am archiving files to different archives based on server names that I get elsewhere.

Note that all webservers are unique in destinationServers, so append and create mode are applied to DIFFERENT archives. This will strangely give you the exception when it tries to do int GetStream(...), hopefully you can see it too when you try to follow the reproduction steps. Currently I still don't know the cause, but I've narrowed it down a bit.

PROBLEM: Occurs whenever you try to use the same SevenZipCompressor instance to create an archive AFTER you have already used it to append to an existing archive.

SOLUTION: To solve this (refering to my scenario), I have instantiated a new SevenZipCompressor for each "webserver" in the foreach loop and also made my "destinationServers" list ordered so that existing archives go last. No exception encountered.

The key is that when you instantiate a new SevenZipCompressor, it will be completely new and won't be affected by whether you previously appended or not. If you cannot instantiate a new one (because semantically/logically, it would be too dumb to do so), you will have to make sure all archive appends are done after creation.

Hope this gets fixed, and that it helps someone.

Hi. I'm using version 0.64. If I try to compress (LZMA2 algoritm) a folder that has subfolders that get the message that I need to contact the developer. I use the x86 version of the library, but if you use x64 everything works. The strange thing that it works in x86 (archive are forming as it should) and even be carrying the event CompressionFinished, but the execution fails. My code:
